When popular movie network HBO stepped into the streaming arena in 2020, it wasn’t received with pomp and show. Its market share was a mere 2%. But in the last few months, the service has improved its range of content and services drastically, and this has resulted in its market share to rise from 2% to 5.2%. The service has finally made its way from half-baked to garnished and ready to be served!

Netflix’s share on the other hand, has seen a severe downfall from 32% in the first quarter of 2020 to 22% in the final; even lesser than Amazon’s current market share. Hulu’s share has neither fallen nor risen, and Disney+ has also seen a minor jump of 1%.

WarnerMedia brands like TBS, TNT, Crunchyroll and the Cartoon Network have produced many of their shows on HBO Max. Moreover, all the 10 seasons of F.R.I.E.N.D.S are also available on the steamer. The show was one of the most popular ones on Netflix and it can now be seen on HBO Max too.

To compare the downsides of Netflix and HBO Max quickly, scrolling on Netflix is easy, but to find a worthy title among the collection can sometimes be painful. As for HBO Max, the genre list is huge but the app can sometimes be buggy and may crash.
