Shirley Jones, 88, Born In 1934 – Elmer Gantry
Shirley Jones was only 16 years old when she took on her first television role in Fireside Theatre in 1950. A decade later, she took home an Academy Award for her performance in Elmer Gantry. However, her longest-running and most famous work was The Patridge Family, where she gave life to Shirley Partridge’s character.
Widowed since 2015, Jones is now 87 years old. However, she doesn’t seem to have an idea about retiring anytime soon. She has particularly been active in 2021, having already appeared in Bruce the Challenge and currently working on Forgiven This Gun4hire and Beyond Legend Johnny Kakota.
