The English actor and screenwriter David Wheeler, known professionally as David Thewlis, rose to prominence in the film industry in the early ’90s. He hasn’t changed much in appearance since then, but the growing years are most evident in the number of projects he has in his portfolio.
After winning the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor for his starring role in the 1993 film “Nak*d,” he has gone ahead to play roles in many other commercially successful films to date. He played the recurring role of Remus Lupin throughout the “Harry Potter” franchise and most recently plays John Dee in the 2022 Netflix drama “The Sandman.”
