Barbara Mandrell was known as one of the country’s biggest musical talents during the mid-70s. She credits six number one singles and 25 top ten hits to her name. It’s not surprising she fell into this industry; her mother was a music teacher. Rumor has it, her mum had her singing at a young age at the family church.
Her country style fused with R&B which produced popular songs like ‘Tonight My Baby’s Coming Home’ and ‘The Midnight Oil.’ Currently spending more time with family, Mandrell retired from her calling in 1997 and even sold all of her musical instruments.
