Still active, the American actress Bern Nadette Stanis was busy filming the crime-drama movie “Chaaw” in 2021. Even though she made it to several productions over the years, she’s still best known for portraying ‘Thelma Evans’ in the “Good Times” sitcom, which aired between 1974 and 1979. Before becoming an actress, she won the Miss Brooklyn beauty pageant.
Outside of “Good Times,” you may have seen Stanis in “The Cosby Show,” “The Parent ‘Hood,” and the movie “N-Secure.” In addition to acting, she’s also an author, and she’s published four books on subjects such as finances and relationships.
