Lauren Tewes is an American actress best known for playing Julie McCoy on ABC’s drama series “The Love Boat.” Tewes, who was born into a lower-middle-class household, had to prove her perseverance for several years before tasting success.
Her career, however, was cut short due to a series of travails. She eventually regained herself and relocated to Seattle to work in regional theater as an actor and director with the Seattle Repertory Theatre and the Tacoma Actors Guild. She’s also done promotional voice-overs and kept her TV career going, with roles in films like “The Fugitive” and a 1998 episode of “Love Boat: The Next Wave.”
