In the mid-’60s, Sir Thomas Jones Woodward came under the spotlight after releasing a series of top-ten hits. His full-throated baritone is the reason why he won the 1966 “Best New Artist Grammy Award. Known for belting out hits like “It’s Not Unusual” and “S*x Bomb,” he gained a resurgence in the 2010s after joining “The Voice UK” as a coach.
Jones also dabbled in acting with appearances in “Pleasure Cove” and “Mars Attacks!” His headlining role in the musical comedy “This Is Tom Jones” earned him a Golden Globe in 1970. He continues releasing music, and in 2021 his 41st studio album “Surrounded by Time” graced our airwaves.
