Ruth Westheimer can be considered a latecomer to the entertainment industry, debuting in the ’80s. Perhaps her career was mapped out that way since she’s a Holocaust survivor and a one-time Haganah sniper. Her relocation from Germany to America allowed her to be an author, therapist, professor, and talk show host.
Westheimer has written over 40 books, the latest being “Stay or Go: Dr. Ruth’s Rules for Real Relationships,” published in 2018. In 2019, she produced the film “Ask Dr. Ruth,” which screened at that year’s Sundance Film Festival. Even in her early 90s, Ruth is still trailblazing.
