In 2021, the retired English singer Sandie Shaw spoke to MyLondon website about how she “hated” some of the things that happened following her Eurovision victory. The first British artist to win the Eurovision Song Contest, Shaw decided to retire from show business in 2013.
In 2017, she was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire for her services to music. Her best-known songs include “Long Live Love,” a cover of “Hand in Glove,” and “Puppet on a String,” the tune that helped her to land her unforgettable Eurovision win.
