Since 1958, Carole King has consistently been involved in the music industry as a singer and songwriter. Before launching her singing career, she worked as part of the Brill Building staff. She wrote 118 pop hits that charted in the UK and the US Billboard Hot 100. Her second album, called “Tapestry,” turned 50 in 2021.
In 2014, King was honored as the MusiCare Person of the Year and later, in 2015, as a Kennedy Centre Honoree. She also starred in a Netflix revival in 2016 of “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.” Carole rewrote her “One” song in 2018 to reflect her dream.
