PENELOPE KEITH, 82, BORN IN 1940 – THE GOOD LIFE
Penelope Keith is a British actress best known for her roles in the TV series “The Good Life” and “To the Manor Born.” The latter ran its third and last season in 1981; however, it returned for another one-hour episode in 2007. However, she hasn’t always been onscreen.
Keith’s career started with working in theater plays. She joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1963 to perform with them in several provinces. Her performance in the play “Donkeys’ Years” even won her an Olivier Award for Best Comedy Performance in 1976. In the next two years, she won BAFTA awards consecutively for Best Actress as well as for Best Light Entertainment Performance.
