Phoebe Cates was a 19-year-old model when she met Kevin Kline, a critically acclaimed theater actor who starred in Sophie’s Choice. The couple met while they were auditioning for The Big Chill. Although Cates didn’t get the part she wanted, she did get a loving, lifelong partner in Kline.

Their relationship did not officially start until they met again at New York City’s Public Theater. The happy couple got married six years after they started dating in the ’80s. They had two kids together; Cates quit acting to take care of their children. Kline’s latest appearance is in the film The Starling, which will be released later this year.

Joan Van Ark is an American actress best known for her notable role as Valene Ewing on Knots Landing. She has been married to KNBC-TV reporter John Marshall for 53 years. Van Ark and Marshall were high school sweethearts in Boulder, Colorado. Together, they have one daughter, Vanessa Marshall.

Van Ark started her acting career at the Guthrie Theater. She starred in soap operas and movies and earned two Soap Opera Digest Awards for Best Actress in the ’80s. Van Ark is set to appear in the world premiere of the new adaptation of Private Fittings that has started its production in February 2021.
