Joe Manchin was elected as the senior United States senator from West Virginia in 2010. In 2021, he unsurprisingly voted against former president trump in both impeachment trials. Despite his obviously successful political career, Manchin is an astute businessman and founder of the coal brokerage “Enersystems.”
Although he passed on the company’s reins to his son in 2000, Manchin still receives dividend incomes from the company. In addition, he owns an impressive property on the bank of the Kanawha River in Charleston. Though there are no details about the home’s interior, we know that the senator only paid $765,000 for the house.
