Every man wants to make their father proud, and Jon Kyl must have done just that. While his father represented Iowa’s 4th congressional district at the House of Representatives, he went even matter. He became senator of Arizona from 1995 to 2013 and also served as Minority Whip from 2007 to 2013.
Before his political career, Kyl was a lawyer and this is when he married his wife Caryll L. Collins. They have two adult children who have given them four grandchildren. He retired from politics in 2013, but was asked to return and was appointed as Senator of Arizona after John McCain passed away in 2018.
