ALANIS MORISSETTE, 48, BORN IN 1974 – JAGGED LITTLE PILL

Alanis Morissette called the “Queen of Alt-Angst,” is a seven-time Grammy award-winning recording artist who has sold over 75M records worldwide. Her most commercially successful (33M copies sold) and critically appreciated work is her 1995 album, “Jagged Little Pill.”

Her single “You Oughta Know” is considered one of the greatest songs of all time. Fans who’ve seen Bridgerton season 2 would’ve been quick to spot it, as it was part of the soundtrack for the Netflix period drama. In 2022, Morisette decided to do something different from her rock sound and released a meditation album, “The Storm Before the Calm,” providing the vocals, percussion, and even playing the flute.
